Some places stay with us: the scent of the forest, light on old stone, a quiet moment in a chapel. Mount St. Odile is such a place for me. This site preserves those impressions and invites you to discover it for yourself.
The sanctuary & chapels
Courtyards, a cloister and chapels form a world of their own on the mountain. The tomb chapel and Chapel of Tears are particular reminders of the devotion to Saint Odile.
Paths through the forest
Paths around the sanctuary lead to rocks, Saint Odile’s spring and the Pagan Wall. Its great stone blocks shape the landscape. Allow yourself time to wander.

A personal connection.
This independent site began as my diploma project, “Panoramen in der Werbung”, at the Fachhochschule Pforzheim. I chose Mount St. Odile because of my personal connection to this place. The historical photographs remain at the heart of the project.
